Why is a there a black square on the left corner of my my computer screen?

What is this?Are these dead pixels?Are they fixable?T.T I just want it gone.And i opened a window and it said please wait and the window was on top of the black square and then the windows turned gray.Im scared,do i need to buy a new laptop?
