I have a tongue piercing, and I have a white ring underneath the tongue around the piercing. Is this normal?

I've had my tongue pierced for almost four weeks now, and after the first few days I noticed a white ring around the piercing hole underneath my tongue. Is this normal and how do I get rid of it?

It's called pus aka "crusties" secreting from your piercing.
And yes, it is normal.
The most advice I can tell you is to wash out your mouth with salt water,
which should make the "white ring" go away.
If there is any other problems such as swollen tongue I would go straight to your piercer and get a larger barbell or to the doctor if this persists.
